Have you ever explored Courchevel in summer? The resort's 6 villages have some great surprises in store for you: alpine lakes, free entertainment, thrilling activities and refuge adventures. Today we reveal the 3 new ‘Nature’ activities not to be missed this summer.
Signposted itineraries to discover the refuges
Grand Plan refuge
This refuge, located in the Vallée des Avals on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, offers overnight accommodation and catering. The site is ideal for hiking, climbing, mountain biking and fishing.
The varied landscapes range from the glacial peaks of Mont Blanc to the lush green pastures of Grand Plan, not to mention the many lakes in the area.
The refuge offers overnight accommodation in dormitories or small rooms, lunch and dinner are available, as well as a relaxation area, a library and lots of games. On certain evenings, entertainment is provided.
Merlets Lakes Refuge
This small, typical refuge has just one living room and sleeps 14. It is the most intimate and authentic refuge in the park.
Numerous trails start from the refuge, and you can also go fishing and climbing. The spectacular setting invites you to disconnect completely. You can also practise yoga and express yourself through drawing and painting. A number of themed evenings are organised during the summer.

An eco-educational treasure hunt
This outdoor game will take you through the mountain pastures and hamlets starting from Courchevel le Praz. It's aimed particularly at children aged 5 and over.
With the help of a notebook and pencils, set off to discover this itinerary. The aim is to learn more about the natural surroundings and raise awareness of mountain and environmental issues.
Allow around 2 hours. Free activity available from Le Praz Tourist Office.
The contemplation trail
This trail is dedicated to well-being. Discover it on your own or with a Courchevel Tourisme guide.
It's an original trail with several activities in store: hiking, mindful walking, Afghan walking, meditation and yoga.
The loop is 1.6km long and has a 135m vertical drop. Access is free. For more information, click here.
Summer highlights in Courchevel
La Punta Courchevel
The Punta Courchevel will take place from 5 to 7 July. This is a gathering of 25,000 motorbike enthusiasts. The atmosphere is rocking and good-natured. On the programme: dozens of stands, demonstrations, shows and concerts.
This year, take to the streets of Courchevel 1850 and discover the new and classic bikes at this international event.
Fête des Bucherons
On 14 July, the traditional ‘Fête des Bucherons’ takes place at La Tania-Courchevel. The lumberjacks will be on hand to compete in strength and speed events.
On the programme: craft stands, woodcutting competitions, woodworking workshops for children and even an axe-throwing stand.
The White Evening
Get your best outfit ready, white will be in the spotlight at Courchevel-le Praz on 23 August.
An evening by the lake, with make-up stands, photobooths, food and refreshments, and artistic performances before the concert at 8pm. There will also be a DJ and tombola.
